In my opinion, Can Paixano is one of the best that’s why I put the title Can Paixano, Best Tapas Restaurant in Barcelona. I know there are so many tourists in Barcelona and most of the top places like this it can be hard sometimes to get in due to the number of people waiting. I think the waiting time improve already as I have been here a few times although I have to fall in line, it was fine and the line goes quickly to get in.

A little bit of history of Can Paixano
This restaurant was founded in 1969 and this restaurant is also called La Xampanyeria which means a Champagne bar. They do produce really good champagnes which I recommend you buy if you have the opportunity. They have a merchandising inside the restaurant which is located at the back of the restaurant and you can choose whatever type of champagne bottles or box available.
Must try food and drinks at Can Paixano.
As this place is famous for its champagne production so I highly recommend that. They have different flavors of champagne and colors whatever you feel like ordering. It’s actually affordable to order a bottle of champagne it will cost you like 9 euros and for one glass of champagne it costs like 2.50 euros.
For the food they have a lot of tapas available but If you want I recommend you to order these tapas with a mix of all the hot portions of meat like chorizo, sausage, blood sausage, etc. so you have a variety to try. Although, you can also choose per meat type depending on your liking which costs less than 5 euros.
Aside from the different tapas they have, I also recommend you to order their sandwiches and I tell you I am really obsessed with the sandwiches here. Everything including the sandwiches cost less than 5 euros and I think it’s really good when it comes to quality and amount. This is the kind of place where you don’t need to spend so much money on food. I recommend this place as one of the cheap eats locations in Barcelona
Location
The restaurant is located in the Barceloneta area, so it’s a perfect food to take away especially the sandwiches while you are walking around Barceloneta beaches. I honestly really like the vibe of this restaurant and the feeling of being really busy eating in a bar-standing kind of environment. I felt more integrated and really doing what local people do in Spain having a quick meal in a bar.
Conclusion
For sure there are many tapas bars and restaurants in Barcelona that offer the same kind of food and you can compare the difference. But, I really recommend this place if you have a chance please try it despite the people waiting for the line goes so fast.
